Solaria Energía y Medio Ambiente, the first solar energy company listed in the Spanish Stock Exchange, has been chosen by Grupotec to be its modules supplier for a 2.4 MW roof-top installation to be built in the southeastern Spanish town of Pilar de la Horadada, Alicante.
Grupotec will inject 3.5 million euros into the 7-million euro project which will be installed on the roof of another company that will receive a royalty fee during the next 25 years. The roof-top installation will save 1,200 tons of CO2 annually and will generate around the same amount of electricity used by 870 families in a year. The installation will also reduce the building’s internal temperature by more than 5ºC, thereby lowering air-conditioning costs.
